Macadamia oil is moisturising and softening on the skin. This oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids including Palmitoleic acid (Omega 7) which is found naturally in the skin. Since the level of this fatty acid reduces as we age, macadamia oil is specially recommended for mature and ageing skins helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Organic macadamia oil is quickly absorbed and it does not leave the skin feeling greasy or shiny. It is therefore a good choice for facial products. The oil also penetrates deep into the skin, due to the high concentration of Oleic acid and is a good choice in nourishing body "dry" oils and after sun products. Macadamia oil benefits are enhanced when combined with oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids such as Sacha Inchi, Walnut, Chia and Borage. Avoid with nut allergies.
