Organic sacha inchi oil is extracted by pressing the seeds and flesh of the fruit of Plukenetia volubilis tree, native to Latin America. Organic sacha inchi oil has a uniquely high and balanced composition of fatty acids. More than 90% of the fatty acids are Omega 3 (Alpha Linolenic acid), Omega 6 (Linoleic acid) and Omega 9 (Oleic acid). The oil is also rich in antioxidants (Vitamin E) and contains valuable phytosterols. Sacha inchi oil is especially recommended for its regenerative properties – due to the high amounts of both essential fatty acids Omega 3 & 6, which are important structural components for cells, and phytosterols. Therefore, this oil is a valuable addition to anti-ageing skincare routines, smoothing out scars and stretch marks, as well as for sensitive skins. Organic sacha inchi oil also helps to reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and is an ideal complement when treating damaged hair.
